Shihan Sandweiss will be sharing special techniques and martial principles from Karate-do, Aikido, and Hung Gar Kung Fu.  He began his karate training in 1974 in Ann Arbor at the Asian Martial Arts Studio.  In 1977, he visited Grandmaster Eizo Shimabukuro and was awarded his black belt in Shorin Ryu Karate-do.  After working and studying Chinese martial arts in Taiwan, Sandweiss Sensei returned to Okinawa where he lived and trained with Grandmaster Shimabukuro for nine months.  He returned to Ann Arbor as a 2nd dan in 1978 and became the Head Instructor of the University of Michigan Shorin Ryu Karate-do Club.  In 1978, he began studying Hung Gar Kung Fu and Aikido at the Asian Martial Arts Studio, and he resumed his training in Shudokan Karate-do.  He currently holds the rank of 6th dan in Shorin Ryu Karate-do, 6th dan in Shudokan Karate-do, and 4th dan in Aikido.  He has also trained with Grandmaster Isao Ichikawa (awarded his 10th dan from Grandmaster Kanken Toyama and founder of Doshikan Karate-do), Shihan Walter Todd, Kyoshi Herbert Wong, Shihan Karl Scott, Sifu Y.C. Wong (Hung Gar Kung Fu) and Master Li (Tiger Dragon Kung Fu).

Seminar Cost: 175 for Part 1 and Part 2.  ($90 for single session)
